Weddings at Girton: Tying the Knot
Girton College, Cambridge is set in fifty acres of mature woodland and gardens on the northern edge of Cambridge, with rich brick and terracotta mid-Victorian buildings enclosing a series of large grassed courts. Established in 1869 as the first residential College for women, Girton is licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies.
Your wedding day can be celebrated with friends and family to make one of the most important days of your life as special as possible. Upon arriving you’re instantly drawn in by the charismatic charm and tradition of the College which provides a warm romantic atmosphere. Sharing your vows and saying “I do” can be done at two perfect locations; Stanley Library which seats 60 guests and is filled with a cosy romantic atmosphere, or the Old Hall which seats 120 guests and is the ideal way to tie the knot in front of a larger audience.
