Claire Grant and Stephen Custance from Bar Hill, Cambridge entered The Wedding Guide's competition at their Wedding Spectacular at Girton College, University of Cambridge and this was also the venue for the entire day of their marriage on 28 August 2010. The beautiful rooms, buildings and grounds provided a fantastic setting and the staff made the whole process stress-free. Claire and Stephen met at Secondary School and, after living together for a year, Stephen proposed the day after their 5th Anniversary. He had intended to propose on their anniversary but when he had gone to collect the ring that afternoon, he discovered he had left his wallet at home..
Memorable Moment: There are so many to chose from… Our fantastic friends giving beautiful readings during the ceremony, our Best Man arranging a photo frame to be signed by our
guests as a surprise and saying our vows at the end of the aisle. Our photographer, Ian, did a great job so we have lots of fabulous pictures which will keep these moments alive forever.

Top Tip: We had been living together for years before getting married so, instead of toasters and towels, we asked friends and family with skills to do various tasks for our wedding as presents.
This ranged from drying petals for our confetti to baking our cake. This not only saved us money but also meant each part of our day felt very personal.

Caroline Bale from Ipswich was selected as our bride of the month in October 2009 having entered the competition at Brides@Hot Bobbins.

She met fiancé Stuart Burgess back in 2004
whilst they were both visiting people at Northampton Universityand soon became an item.
Stuart proposed in London's Leicester Square in July 2009 before taking Caroline to Tiffanys to choose a ring and a year and a half later they were married at Park Farm Hotel in Hethersett on 19th December 2010.

Memorable moment: It's so hard to pick just one memorable moment. Having our pictures taken in the freezing snow was really funny. We had three really brilliant speeches and fantastic evening entertainment. But walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time has to be the best moment of the day.

Top Tip: Ensure that everyone involved in the running of the day knows exactly what you want, that way you are free to relax and enjoy yourself without people asking you questions. Lastly, treasure every moment of your Wedding Day, it really does go quickly.
